Harley-Davidson® has officially launched their 2020 model year lineup and we have everything you need to know about the new bikes and new features. Every year in August, Harley-Davidson® invites dealers from all over the world to Milwaukee for their annual three day model launch event. Over the three days, dealers get a sneak peek at new models, parts, accessories, clothing, and anything else new that Harley has up their sleeves.
This year was the year of Electric. With the official launch of the LiveWire™ bike (bikes should be arriving at dealerships next month) and their electric bicycles, Harley is looking to break into new audiences and appeal to a new demographic that is environmental and economically conscious but still have the need to go fast.
While Harley is continuing to slash models, 9 in total this year, they have added three new ones to the lineup to make up for those hurt feelings. We are happy to introduce the brand-new 2020 Low Rider® S, Road Glide® Limited, and the CVO™ Tri Glide® Ultra.
Say a big ol’ welcome back to the Low Rider® S! Formerly in the Dyna® family, the Low Rider® S is a souped up version of the Low Rider® with a blacked-out engine and a 114 ci Screamin’ Eagle® Milwaukee-Eight® Engine. Appealing to a younger demographer, it seems Harley-Davidson® may be on the right track with this come-back bike.
The second bike announced was the Road Glide® Limited. The Ultra Limited has been a long-standing favorite of the H.O.G.® community so it seems Harley has decided to launch a Road Glide® version of the bike. With the CVO™ Road Glide® and the Road Glide® Ultra models disappearing from the lineup, the introduction of this bike is sure to keep fans of both bikes happy. For the time being at least.
Each year Harley-Davidson® releases three bikes in the CVO™ lineup. As mentioned previously, the CVO™ Road Glide® is no longer in production for the 2020 model year, but to replace the model and appeal to that older demographic, they have introduced the CVO™ Tri Glide® Ultra. With the stability and comfort of a trike and all the bells and whistles of the CVO™, it’s hard to go wrong!
While we all love to go bonkers over new models, there’s less flashy new releases such as limited edition paint sets and the new RDRS system.
The RDRS or Reflex™ Defense Rider Systems is a collection of new cutting-edge technology designed to instill confidence and increase rider performance on the open road. The RDRS system will come standard on all LiveWire™, CVO™, Trike models, and optional on all touring models except for the Electra Glide® Standard.
