The long-awaited news has finally been released. The new 2018 Harley-Davidson® motorcycles and merchandise are now available in Canada! Here’s what you need to know about your new ride.
The new 2018 Harley Davidson models were announced at the Annual Dealer Show in LA on August 22, 2017 starting at 5:30 pm. Every year the excitement around this event is unreal. Fans and dealers from all around the world attend the Dealer Show with the anticipation of discovering what is new from Harley-Davidson®.
Details are currently limited, but some of the big takeaways from the Dealer Show are revolutionary.
The Dyna® is no-more—it has merged with the Softail® lineup to create an all new Big-Twin Cruiser Softail® family. 2018 Softail® models have been redesigned, with new features like the new Milwaukee Eight V-Twin engine with either 107ci or 114ci options and USB ports for charging devices. Each bike is 30-35 lbs lighter than the 2017 models! This new, lighter frame has helped to improve handling and ride quality.
The lineup has been designed with an all-new chassis and a new “hidden” single shock. Dyna models which used to have rubber-mounted engines will now have solid engine mounts. Bikes like the Fat Bob, which used to be a Dyna model, have experienced some of the biggest changes. The physical presence of the bike shows that it is ready to plow through whatever roads are in its path. The 2018 Fat Bob is now the highest performing bike in the 2018 Harley-Davidson cruise lineup.

The CVO™ family got a major face-lift. The new 2018 Street Glide®, Road Glide®, and the special CVO™ Limited models comes with 117ci Milwaukee-Eight engines with 124 foot-pounds of torque. Each CVO™ comes with Bluetooth capabilities, more speakers, more amplifiers, and beautiful new paint colours.
The sinister blacked-out undercarriage option for these bikes will have people turning heads as you tackle city streets or cruise through wide country roads. There won’t be anything that the new 2018 CVO motorcycles can’t handle. And while you’re riding, you’ll be able to enjoy deeper bass with balanced sound from the new BOOM! Speakers.
