Barnes Harley-Davidson is Celebrating 20 Years!

Twenty years has gone by in a blink. We almost can’t believe it’s been a whole two decades since Barnes purchased its first Harley-Davidson dealership. We are selling motorcycles to people who were born after Barnes Harley-Davidson was established! We here at Barnes feel so honoured to have become such an integral part of the communities where our four rooftops reside. We have grown so much with our communities and our customers, and we pride ourselves on what we’ve built, which is so much more than a motorcycle dealership.

We are a getaway. Riding is freedom and we have built our company with people who are passionate about motorcycles the same way you are. We understand your need to get on two wheels and feel the breeze. If you’re trying to get a new (or new to you) motorcycle for the first time, the tenth time, or if you just want to chat about your wheels, we want to be there for you.

We are entertainment. Our dealerships are designed to feel like Disneyland for adults. The thrill of riding perfectly captures that childlike wonder we all crave to experience again, and we want our dealership to give you a taste of it. And don’t forget our huge events! Our Show & Shines and Taco Tuesdays are famous for their wild stunts, great food, and camaraderie. There’s never a dull moment here at Barnes.

We are a helping hand. If you ever find yourself broken down on the side of the road, we will grab our truck and race out there to rescue you and your motorcycle. If another dealership broke your bike, we will fix it. If you need to finally let go of an old bike that used to belong to someone else, we will take it off your hands and handle it with love. We treat others the way we want to be treated, and we believe that means stepping up even in troubling circumstances.

2003 – Greg Barnes purchases South Side Harley-Davidson in Langley and rebrands as Barnes Harley-Davidson Langley

2003 – Barnes Harley-Davidson becomes the first motorcycle dealership in Canada to allow customers to test ride every day

2003 – Barnes Harley-Davidson becomes the first motorcycle dealership in Canada to take in trade-ins of motorcycles, cars, trucks, boats, trailers, ATVs, and anything else you can think of

2003 – Barnes Harley-Davidson becomes the first motorcycle dealership in Canada to have a business office

2003 – Barnes Harley-Davidson becomes the first motorcycle dealership in Canada to create a living motorcycle museum by offering one-of-a-kind Barnes Custom Garage builds to customers

2007 – Barnes Harley-Davidson becomes the first motorcycle dealership in Canada to offer a rewards/loyalty program

2008 – Barnes Harley-Davidson becomes the first motorcycle dealership in Canada to use social media to reach out to customers

2008 – Barnes Harley-Davidson becomes the first motorcycle dealership in Canada to offer all-inclusive/transparent pricing on everything we sell

2009 – Barnes Harley-Davidson becomes the first motorcycle dealership in Canada to install a CRM system to better assist and communicate with our customers

2009 – Barnes Harley-Davidson becomes the first motorcycle dealership in Canada to install live chat on our website, offering 24/7 access for customers

2009 – Barnes Harley-Davidson becomes the first motorcycle dealership in Canada to provide photos of every motorcycle in our inventory on our website

2015 – Greg Barnes purchases Steve Drane Harley-Davidson in Langford and rebrands as Barnes Harley-Davidson Victoria

2015 – Barnes Harley-Davidson becomes the first motorcycle dealership in Canada to use the “one dealership, multiple locations” model, creating incredible value for our customers by providing expanded inventory options for motorcycles, parts, and service, as well as the ability to redeem rewards points at all locations

2016 – Greg Barnes purchases Kamloops Harley-Davidson and rebrands as Barnes Harley-Davidson Kamloops

2018 – Game of Barnes launches, an app with riding quests that offered the winner a free motorcycle

2018 – Barnes Harley-Davidson Victoria wins the Platinum Dealership Award

2018 – Barnes Harley-Davidson Kamloops wins the Gold Dealership Award

2019 – Barnes Harley-Davidson becomes the first motorcycle dealership in Canada to offer condition reports on every pre-owned motorcycle in our inventory

2021 – Greg Barnes purchases Heritage Harley-Davidson and rebrands as Barnes Harley-Davidson South Edmonton

Barnes Harley-Davidson has broken every motorcycle dealership standard in order to bring the best quality customer service to our communities. But although we are proud of what we’ve accomplished together, we are not perfect. We can’t be. We are a dealership run by real people. But we are constantly and forever working on improving ourselves and our product to earn the right to be your Harley-Davidson dealership of choice.
